Too Many Days
Since Then

Produced by Brian ‘Killah B’ Bates — Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter

Six tracks of controlled longing. Warm piano. Live strings. A voice that sounds like a memory you can’t place.

About

I have been performing since before I could name what performing was. Six weeks old. The camera before the cradle.

I grew up studying the greats not as influences but as a curriculum — Whitney, Mariah, Sade, Billie Holiday, Maria Callas. I was trying to understand something about the distance between feeling and sound. About how you close it.

The acting and the music were never separate. They were always the same question: how do you make someone feel a truth they haven’t lived?

Anemoia is the word I found for it. A longing for a time you’ve never known. It is the emotional centre of everything I make.

Too Many Days Since Then is where I began to answer the question out loud.

Music is not a stream. It is an object. A feeling pressed into matter and handed from one person to another. Everything here is made to be held.
